5 of Our Favourite Alternative Ways to Use Coffee Mugs

From time to time, we see customers umming and arring regarding buying a new mug. 'oooh, I have too many mugs' they say.  The beauty however, is that they do end up finding something that they can buy.  But, I feel that I need to provide you all out there with other ways that a coffee mug can be used.  A coffee mug is not just for coffee.  If you know VODI Accessories, we believe in versatility and do not believe in limiting our products to one use.  

Here are 5 of our favourite alternative ways to use coffee mugs. 

 1. Planters for Small Plants and Succulents

Succulents would look so cute in a coffee mug.  You can also soil propagate cuttings from your favorite plant.  I have tried both.  Too cute.  Even if you don't want to keep it for yourself, you can give it to someone as a gift.  Make sure you look into the best way to plant from those expert plant bloggers.  I am personally still learning, but it is so relaxing, and it is really teaching me patience, as the process can take a while.

2. Pen and Pencil Holders

 I do this.  I have a coffee mug with my logo on it, and rather than use it to drink from, I use it to hold my pens and pencils, and other things.  It is basically, a catchall container, that looks good. 

3. Candle Holders

 The fact that a coffee mug has a handle.  Our coffee mugs have large handles.  It is the perfect way to place a candle due to the ceramic material.  It is created to withstand heat, so it is a no-brainer.

4. Mini Flower Vases

You can also use coffee mugs as a vase for freshly cut flowers to brighten up your space.  

5. Gift Containers

Did you know that you can use a coffee mug as a gift container.  You can fill it up with items, for example sweets, mini toys, and so on, and then wrap it with wrapping paper, or a beautiful material secured with a ribbon.  A perfect personalised gift for someone special.
